Jamie is very involved with military programs and his family has served our country for over a century. His grandfather fought in France during World War I and his father was in the Air Force post World War II and served in Germany. One of Jamie's sons is currently enlisted in the U.S. Army as an infantryman defending and protecting our country. Jamie's long-time partner Bambi Hawkins is a graduate of the United States Coast Guard Academy. Jamie is also surrounded by a number of nephews, nieces and cousins that have served in the military both at home and abroad (pictured here at the Flight 93 Memorial in Shanksville PA).

Jamie's brother-in-law made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in Iraq in 2007.  After his death, Jamie co-founded the Master Sergeant Sean Thomas Foundation which provides scholarships to high school students entering the military.

Jamie also started 'Mission Homefront' in several schools in Lycoming County and Military Mondays at Bowman field, where verterans can attend ball games for free.

As President of the South Williamsport Little League, Jamie honored fallen soldiers Abe Howard and Sean Thomas with a sign under the flagpole on the outfield fence at Lions field.  After every ballgame, win or lose, both teams honor Abe and Sean by running to the fence at touching the faces of the two local heroes.

Since 9/11, Jamie has participated in military rememberances and events from Shanksville (Flight 93) to the Twin Towers Memorial (NYC) to the Pacific beaches in California, including helping to place crosses for all service members killed in action during the war on terror. Locally, Jamie  has also participated in Wreaths Across America, honoring all US Veterans annually. Jamie will work tirelessly locally and in Harrisburg to make sure veterans receive the benefits and treatment they deserve. He will partner with the Lycoming County Office of Veterans Affairs and fight for much needed funding and benefits.

Jamie will also work tirelessly with school districts to help encourage students to recognize and appreciate the sacrifices that our veterans have made. He is a patriot in every sense of the word.

Jamie is a motorcycle enthusiast and rides in the annual 9/11 ride in honor of our fallen heroes. He has taken a number of young people to the 9/11 Memorial in NYC to instill American values. Pictured here is Jamie with one of his sons at the 9/11 ride held in 2021. His son is now an infantryman in the U.S. Army defending freedom.
